The worst storline ever?
Most game stories are bad because most are written by game developers who nothing about story structure. Few have any real theme for their story and most plots are linear (in that the protagonist''s goal remains the same all the way through). Most are just an sequence of obstacles with little attempt at setting pace or getting an emotional response.

i think that FF8 is only a bad copy (a REAL BAD one) of FF7, THAT was a story!and easy to play...
in ff9 they put a million of sort of things all toghether...only a great mess..(it''s a MY opinion)

Agreed, FF7 was something, and Squall''s personality was copied on Cloud''s. FF9 == random encounters.
