Hi
One month ago I took a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science attending an Italian University; now I'd like to move to UK to became a game developer. Unfortunately every MSc about this subject has already started, so I'll have to wait until Semptember 2011. What could I do meanwhile? Is there any course which starts on January? You got any suggestion about it all? Thank you for your advices.

Not that I know of. Unfortunately, the academic year is Sept->Sept.

What you can do in the meantime? Work on a game/software project/start on your portfolio and/or apply for jobs in the industry.

If you have money, you could travel too. See the world, couchsurf etc.

(just an idea)

Problem is I know little about game programming, so right now I couldn't apply for a job in the industry; could you give me any book/on-line course to start it all? What do you think of Train2Game courses?
I assume you know how to program, which programming languages do you know?

As for the Train2Game courses, I am a little mixed about it. Until I see the course materials for myself and they have students that have finished the course, I can't make a valued judgement on it.

Java, C/C++, Assembler8086, &#106avascript, SQL.<br><br>
Some stuff to get you started:

Just start off making something like Tetris (the first link is enough to get you started) and work your way up to more complex games.
