There has been a couple times I have accidentally hit the wrong voting button.

I recommend that there is some kind of feature to undo a vote .

I cannot remember the books I've read any more than the meals I have eaten; even so, they have made me.

Just a suggestion: Don't try to upvote people when you're drunk, aim ain't that good :P

Quite a few people have done this on accident, in fact this request is regularly brought up:

I'd love to allow something like this - probably just a short (say around 5 minutes) grace period during which votes can be undone or changed before becoming permanent - but unfortunately it's another one of those things that just isn't easily achievable with the forum software.

It's definitely on the list as something we'd like to offer in future though.

When that happened to me once long time ago, it was because I was in the subforum view and accidentally doubleclicked on the dot to view the newest posting in some thread.

The problem is the voting buttons are aligned to exactly the same position after loading the thread, which makes misclicks more likely. If you could adjust the layouts slightly, that would already be an improvement.
