Encoding bug in editor?

Quite new here, but I find that the editor acts weird, where in some case html literal encodings pop up.

1. When I write a reply with empty lines in it, and I press 'preview' or 'post', it becomes all one long block of text. If I (for preview) press preview again, it comes out fine, and posting also gives the right result in that case.

2. While submitting my article, I had a rectangular closing bracket in code, which got rendered as ] in the preview. In the article it's fine. (Edit: I typed "& # 93 ;" without spaces and it got eaten, as you can see.)

In http://www.gamedev.net/topic/670974-game-engine/?view=findpost&p=5247161, I posted, then saw a double 'then', so I edited the strike-out into it. There is now an encoded bigger-than symbol in it >.
(Edit: this one stayed as I typed it)

Using a Linux system, firefox browser with noscript allowing gamedev.net and gamedev5.net (I don't see why google has to know what I edit). The editor is quite basic then, but I prefer that.
I haven't figured quoting out yet completely, but maybe that is just my fault.

try using the raw mode instead of the WYSIWYG mode(icon in the top left). I have had a number of issues occur in the WYSIWYG mode that i've personally defaulted to just using raw mode all the time.
Check out https://www.facebook.com/LiquidGames for some great games made by me on the Playstation Mobile market.
Without google, there is no button bar at all.
I also find the wysiwig has more problems than advantages for me, so I am fine it's not there

Edit: Also see the images; the black bar is my status bar, showing noscript output
