I want to learn game development can you please suggest getting started? I have shortlisted this course, is it good?

I've always been interested in video games and I would really like to develop them myself. I'm not sure where to start though. I found this course online and I'm wondering if it's any good.
Can anyone recommend a good place to start? I would appreciate any advice.
